Subscribe to Comments

I’ve enabled email subscription to comments, so you can get an email whenever someone comments after you. I used to have this before, but it got lost in an upgrade I think.

Anyway, you can also subscribe to comments without actually posting anything.

A quick question – should I default this to on or off?

RodeoClown: conversational.

Oh, my vote is default off. But I have never used this feature before, so I’m not sure what it does. I will turn it on for this comment and see what happens! :o )

Hi Tracy, you should get an email when I post this comment. That’s how it works :)

If you turn it on, you’ll get notified whenever someone else posts another comment.

Like so.

Also – when I say it would default to ‘on’, that would just mean the box is ticked when you first post, you could always untick it if you wanted.

that’s a neat feature. I have never seen that before.

I don’t have a strong preference on the default setting, but I still think my vote would be default off. I think that I would probably uncheck it more often than I would check it. I think I will use it sometimes though.

thanks for helping with my experiment! :-)

I have tick for follow-ups to this comment, and I will do the same for my next few posts.

It sound like a good idea to me but I am going to trial it.

D!
