Brave New World

After reading this, I only have one thing to say:

If you are considering murdering your unborn child, don’t. There are thousands of would-be parents who can love the child you truly believe you cannot. If no-one else can, I will take them and love them for you.

I got half way through this article and felt physically sick.

I have made my feelings on abortion here before, in a nutshell, I was put up for adoption by my two young biological parents, and it was only a few years I realised what a significant (TOUGH) thing this must have been for my bio mother after carrying me for 9 months and then giving me away. This feeling was compounded with the birth of my own child 18 months ago.

Please don’t misunderstand, the ONLY feeling I have for my biological folks is one of extreme gratitude beacuse they didn’t take the easy* way out and have an abortion.

As far as the moral issue goes I refer again to Pam Stenzel (Pamstenzel.com). Her mother was raped and instead of getting an abourtion she carried her and bought her up. When Pam shares her story she introduces it so that people may say “Yeah, if you get raped it is ok to have an abortion” and then at the last minute she says “that woman that was raped was my mother…if she had an abortion I wouldn’t be here”

As far as the dude that carelessly says “we walked in with two girls and two boys and walked out with only two girls. We plan to name them…” I would have no hesitation in beating him to a bloody pulp with a rusty piece of iron.

Anyway, on that note I will some up by saying ABORTION IS WRONG.

D!

Dez!: Really wants to meet bio-mum oneday to express his INFINITE gratitude

*I realise that it is never an easy decision to have an abortion but you know what I mean.

Additional: sorry for the strong feelings about the guy and the iron rod, I don’t know his circumstances, but the fact remains not matter what his circumstances ABORTION is wrong. (and so are beatings with rusty iron rods)

On a less personal note did any one see the movie Gattaca …

I always thought this was a fictional movie…

Dez!:not so sure anymore

That movie was sad too.

Reading that article made me feel ill, and angry. I guess that removing any and all moral absolutes means people will justify whatever they want for their own benefit.

What an incredibly disturbing article. How quickly we, as a community, abandon those made in God’s image, those whom God is knitting together.

It makes me physically ill, and I too, would happily adopt babies that parents didn’t want, as I know would many many other couples.

Where are the ‘rights’ of the babies in all this?
